Parents for Heart is excited to welcome Judy Swett on May 21, at Children’s of Minnesota 2nd Floor Education Center in Minneapolis. Judy will be talking to us about 504 plans and Individual Educational Plans. Childcare will be provided, along with free pizza after the meeting and a drawing for a $25 gift card. ABOUT JUDY SWETT

Employed at PACER Center as the Early Childhood Coordinator, Judy Swett provides individual assistance to parents of young children with disabilities and, when appropriate, attends IFSP/IEP meetings, conciliations, mediations, or other school meetings with parents. She also designs and presents trainings to parents, early childhood professionals, and undergraduate students regarding early intervention/ early childhood special education services, parent /professional partnerships, family support and parent leadership. She has presented at numerous state and national conferences on issues related to young children with disabilities and their families. Judy is also a Technical Assistance associate at the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA; a presenter at local, state and national conferences on topics related to family involvement, early intervention, early childhood special education and inclusion and works collaboratively with many state and local agencies and school districts. Judy is the mother of two girls, one of whom has disabilities.
